Alpha Alpha Kappa Induction Ceremony
The Induction Ceremony for the Alpha Alpha Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa on the Titusville Campus will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 3:00 p.m., in the Auditorium in Building 1, Room 102
Professor Chris Petrie will be speaking on two of our hallmarks: Leadership & Service and talking about his Sadako Crane Project that he and his students put together every year.

RELAY FOR LIFE
Alpha Alpha Kappa will be joining in the Titusville Campus Relay for Life on April 26th - We're the BCC Gladiators - how cool is that? This is a great community service project with lots of fellowship. Do consider joining the team!! Your may be hearing more about this from Kathy Crabbe, our Vice-President of Fellowship.
Ms. Patria is heading up the team so here are the details from her:
Hello everyone--Last Friday's meeting made progress--the team members present decided to do a "Whose Line is it Anyway?" involving faculty members. We need probably seven or eight and we'll have people vote by donation on which ones they want to see perform. The campaign will run a few weeks, probably, after I 1). secure faculty members willing to perform in public and2). secure the auditorium.
We can then have donations at the door for the performance on a Friday night, probably in April or mid-March. (It depends on Spring Break) Also, we can sell popcorn and cokes to raise money.
Did you know you can change the message to personalize it on your page? Click on email and you can delete the message and add your own. Then, you put in your email addresses to send in the box above the message box. It's quick and fairly painless!We are up to 20% ($390) of our goal according to the "money thermoment", but that doesn't include another $200 in donations collected by various members.
Please try the email. I set our total low to $2,000, and if everyone puts in an effort to get donations, we should easily make it.THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. The team tent is going to be, in the finest of English terms, "way cool."Kathy

IN THE DIRT
Once again, we'll be selling pizza, popcorn and cokes at the In the Dirt lecture on March 13th around 5:30 ish in Bldg. 1. We'll go easy on the pizza this time and not order too much.
We plan to sell before during and after the lecture so that students on break can benefit as well. If you are able to help let one of the officers or advisors know.

Valentine's Day

Candy Grams - Chocolate needed!!
Hi Phi Theta Kappans,
Well, we had an Officers Meeting today and we realize we need more bags of chocolate to fill our 82 candygrams so far.
Phi Theta Kappa members - if you are able to donate a bag of Chocolate Hershey Kisses or any other type of chocolates for this fundraiser we could really use it.
Please bring it in by Tuesday, Feb. 12th either to the library or to Michelle Richard in Bldg. 5-(Provost's Office).
We'll be filling the candy grams on Wednesday, Feb. 13th at 2:00 in the Provost's Office. Hope we see you there!!

Phi Theta Kappa Candy Gram Fundraiser
Hi Everyone,
I don't know how our Candy Gram fundraiser is shaping up, but tell your friends to buy one to remember that special somebody on Valentines!!
We'll be putting the Candy Grams together next Monday or Tuesday of next week and we could REALLY your help if you're available.
We sold pizza, popcorn and drinks last Thursday during the lecture series of the Florida Public Archeological Network. We had 11 pizzas delivered and sold only about 3!! All was not lost - we made about a $10.00 profit. The next time we'll order half that which should work out fine. Students are a hungry bunch during evening break. That's all for now - Jill
